Joe played for CSU and is currently battling health issues. Born in 1963 in Flint, Michigan, Joe pitched for Davison High School and Mott Community College in Michigan before moving to Columbus College to join the 1984 & 1985 teams. At 6'3" and 225 pounds, Joe had a record of 8-1-1 in 1984, and 6-3 for the 1985 season.
He later returned to Flint to work for GM for over 21 years. In 2022 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
His favorite memories of Columbus was getting to experience living and playing in the south for the first time, joining the brotherhood that was the extraordinary team at Columbus College. In 1984, Joe pitched a winning game versus Auburn University with a young Bo Jackson in their lineup. Finally, winning the Smith Atlantic Region title and competing in the 1984 College World Series.
